The forums forum:
http://www.archive.org/iathreads/forums.php#forum
It seems like the "faqs" and "forums" forums have ended up serving more of an "alt.0d, alt.1d, alt.2d" function?

Personally I like the forums the way they are even though they're not like, say, phpBB. I read them through the front IA page for that omniscient feeling. ;)

The "About IA" page linked off the top bar of every page has a link to "Report Bugs and Request New Features"
http://www.archive.org/todo.php
Turnaround on various items there can be rather delayed, however, given all the more pressing tasks for the staff.

Oh, that's where it was. Thanks!

As for the FAQ section, it's a bit hard to browse with about 100KB of stuff on top of it, a long way to scroll down. Are you sure that's the best solution?

The first thing you should probably get done with the ToDo section is getting rid of the last entry that screws up the entire view, in my Firefox at least.

That link could be edited to read:

http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/

I believe, and that would make that forum display much better.

Hi,
you might also like the "subscribe to a forum digest" feature -- you can click the envelope icon at the top of any forum to sign up for a daily summary of all posts to that forum!
(that's how I read this -- I'm a new subscriber! 8-)

In this post

I think someone may be asking how to undo that.

um....
they should at most get a digest once a day,
for each forum subscribed to, and not emails
for individual posts
(unless they are getting replies to their own individual post...)
